Best Free Business Tools That Will Make You Money

In todays post I wanted to share you with what I think are some of the best free business tools that will make you money online with your side hustle or online business. All of the tools mentioned I personally use on a weekly basis within my own business. They have helped me massively.

Google Drive

Google drive is a cloud based storage program that allows you to save, create and edit files online that can then be shared across all of your devices. Very much like Apples iCloud but what’s even better about Google Drive, is that you are not tied to one brand, it can used on anything.

You can stay organised and up to date by keeping your pictures and videos in separate folders, which I think is a great way to share large files across the internet. However, my favourite feature of Google Drive is Docs & Sheets. This is basically Microsoft Word & Excel but FREE and accessible everywhere.

Google Drive is my number 1 recommended tool. A tool I use on a daily basis and couldn’t live without.

Canva

Do you have a business that requires design work? Or maybe you have launched your own personal brand, either way Canva is the best FREE tool on the market to help you create graphics for your business.

You can edit photos, create social media posts, logos and more. I personally have created over 80 YouTube thumbnails for my video using Canva and I still use it every week.

What I really love about Canva is their present templates. For example, if you wanted to create an Instagram Story Post, you can select the dimensions from the template dropdown and you can then be rest assurance your content will fit your phone screen perfectly.

Last Pass

Have you ever found yourself forgetting your password then spending ages trying to either remember it or recover it on your emails?

Well that is no more with LastPass, a completely free Google Chrome Extension that will manage all of your passwords in one place. All you need to remember is your “Master Password” and then you can access all the sites you have added in side your “LastPass Vault”.

My favourite features of LastPass are the automatic password inserter that saves you from typing any login details and the security checks it constantly runs across your passwords to make sure you are safe from scammers and hackers.

Asana

If you run a team or maybe a long term project, Asana is a great way to stay on track and organised.

You can create project boards, timelines, schedule meetings in a calendar and have them all linked within one database. You can also assign team members to certain tasks which really creates a single hub for everything in your business.

When you sign up for Asana, you will be presented with a free trial with premium features which of course you can pay for after. However, if you wanted to stay on the free plan you can simply just downgrade and you can continue using it but with a few less features.

In my opinion, I think the Free version for me is more than good enough. I run a small team of 3 people and we have been using Asana for 6 months and have seen our communication and productivity as a team dramatically improve.

Honey

If you don’t have the Honey Chrome Extension downloaded, then you are simply just leaving free money on the table. This is a tool that EVERYBODY should just have installed whether they are running a business or not.

What Honey does is it basically scans the entire internet for voucher codes and automatically inserts them into your checkout screen when buying any item online. I have sometimes saved over £100 when ordering office equipment and camera gear for my YouTube channel and that is money I would have never known I could save if I didn’t have honey installed.

Mailchimp

If you are trying to build a business or brand, I personally think you should look to build an email list from day one. Having an email list allows you to engage with your audience, promote content to more people and effectively, make more money.

Mailchimp allows you to build, maintain and grow a mail list completely for free.

Hootsuite

The perfect solution for those looking to post more on social media. Hootsuite allows you to manage multiple social media profiles all from a single dashboard. You can schedule posts, track mentions, engage with your audience and measure your analytics all from one place.

I would say if you’re looking to take social media seriously? Then Hootsuite is a great place to start.
